Waiting for the Bus is a fascinating journey through the richest Italian craftsmanship, from South to North, discovering objects and materials where Made in Italy still embodies tradition, research, passion, and the work of hands that transform raw materials into irresistibly charming artifacts, according to ancient stories of rare beauty passed down through the centuries.

With an eye on production ethics and the global culture of design, the Wftb catalog is a contemporary notebook through which to reach the most remote corners of the peninsula, learning the artisanal processes of diverse communities and applying this knowledge to new and unpredictable projects, creating an intersection between the mastery of traditional techniques and the invention of a new and poetic, personal, and specific vocabulary of objects.

The journey, which began in Sicily with the Caltagirone Collection, then reaches Vietri in Campania, and then Gubbio, Venice, Lombardy, Lissone, and Milan; the final stop is in Puglia, in Andria. A tour seeking an answer to the risks of mass production, with the aim of protecting production processes and local identities. A journey that generates "souvenirs" that Wftb reinterprets in a contemporary way. The challenge is to reimagine the beautiful and well-crafted; to revitalize what has a thousand-year history, without losing its memory. Know-how as a bridge between past and present.
